AJ's Baptism

This last weekend our little man was baptized in Wenatchee at Grace Lutheran Church.  A lunch gathering followed at Aaron's parent's house.  Good friends and family joined us at the church and lunch to honor our sweet little boy and the beginning of his Christian journey.  Aaron's brother, Pat, and our good friends Brandi and Chris Lyons were his godparents - it was so fun to see how excited they were to stand up for our son.  A lot of Aaron's family traveled a long way for the baptism and we are very grateful!

I was able to get some pictures before the service, but didn't get any at the lunch :-(.  I think I was too busy running around trying to visit with everyone!

Little man fell asleep in Brandi's arms during the service - so cute!!

Say Cheese!

We FINALLY had family pictures taken and we love them!!  Enjoy...

I'm lucky to be a mom

That's how I felt yesterday.  I am so lucky to be Addison's mom.  She is beautiful and funny and it's so rewarding watching her learn new things.  I am equally lucky to be AJ's mom.  He is adorable and can make me smile at any time, even at my sleepiest moments.  Both of these children have brought so much happiness into my life - I can't remember life before them and I so look forward to the future with them.

I'm also lucky to be a mom because I get super-spoiled on Mother's Day!  My amazing husband went above and beyond this year with the most simplest of things ALL DAY LONG.  It couldn't have been more perfect...
  • He woke up with AJ at 5:00 a.m. (I slept in till 7)
  • I went for a 3 mile walk without the kids (with my mother-in-law)
  • He made a yummy breakfast of gourmet eggs benedict, hashbrowns and turkey sausage
  • I went shopping for 2 hours BY MYSELF!
  • We made tortellini alfredo for dinner and sat outside on the patio
  • We scarfed down blizzards :-)
  • We ended the night by pulling our mattress into our tv room and falling alseep to some good Sunday night TV.  This silly past time is one of my favorites - it makes me feel like I'm camping :-)
Happy Mother's Day to my mom too!  I love you very much and look forward to our daily phone calls :-).
